Community Development Lending and Investment Director
Serves as the principal business development officer for the HBI Community Development Corporation.
Develops, implements and manages the organization's strategy with respect to Community Development Lending and Investing in support of the Community Reinvestment Act.
Manages the development of new investment opportunities in the areas of housing and small business development to support HNB's CRA rating.
Possesses a thorough understanding of low-income housing tax credit financing, use of subordinated debt and other complex financing strategies.
Coordinates with various third-parties to assist in evaluating investment, legal and other risks.
Manages the securing of proper approvals for all transactions, and monitors credit integrity of the portfolio.
Manages the activities of multiple Community Development Asset Managers in a manner to assure compliance with federal and state banking regulations.
Adheres to bank policies and procedures and complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
Accountable for risk management, compliance and audit performance for area(s) of responsibility.
Establishes or works with management to develop effective controls and processes to ensure risks are measured, monitored and controlled and compliance requirements are adhered to on an on-going basis.
Ensures staff is properly trained, provided with appropriate resources and motivated to adhere to risk management principles.
Maintains current knowledge of risk-related changes that may impact assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Provides senior and executive management with periodic updates to ensure proper oversight.
10+ years' experience in Community Development
