Huntington National Bank Business Banking Functional Coordinator in Columbus, Ohio

The Business Banking Functional Coordinator processes business loan center applications for the centralized business loan centers at Huntington Bank.

  • Processes business loan credit applications for three business loan underwriting centers

  • Processes applications which includes managing & uploading documents to the electronic credit file, preparing initial due diligence and completing credit/background checks which includes regulated compliance tasks, researching entities and individuals as needed, working with online sites and applications in a virtual paperless environment, and successfully transferring loans to the correct place which could be any of 9 different locations.

  • Interacts with HNB colleagues to assist with timely processing of loans

  • Works in a high paced environment especially during peak seasons.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • At least 3 years of data processing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with processing loan credit applications or prior bank experience

  • Processing Business loan credit applications

  • Firm grasp and ability to learn new systems and programs as the process is virtually paperless

  • Excellent in customer service, highly motivated, focused, and goal oriented

  • Excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning and follow-up

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to interact with internal customers to achieve positive results and work in a fast-paced, production environment.

  • Microsoft Suite (excel, word, PDF Pro) experience with strong computer skills required

  • Ability to work overtime as needed. This occurs mainly in peak seasons.
