Huntington National Bank Enterprise Data Services/Governance Leader in Columbus, Ohio

Job Description:

  • Build and manage a team to efficiently deliver data services to end users via a tight partnership with technology (data teams & CIOs), Enterprise Data Capabilities Lead and business support units.

  • Build and manage a data policy, including ensuring policy related issues are governed, tracked and resolved in a timely manner

  • Partner with the business and technology on data security and classification rules/practices to ensure the appropriate protection and access of our data.

  • Support businesses in understanding our Enterprise Data Strategy and road map to align their projects to the new ecosystem.

  • Work with the data technology team on requirements of sourcing of data, organizing and building a marketplace.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of experience in a data environment including managing technology projects, building data warehouses and enabling big data usage.

  • 3+ years managing managers

  • 3+ years on a data warehouse or big data team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of data warehouses and Hadoop environments

  • Well-developed negotiation, influencing, partnership & presentation/communication skills.

  • Business outcome focused

  • Demonstrated perseverance

  • Practical application of a data governance policy at a financial institution

  • Prior experience building a team and managing other managers

  • Familiarity with data classification and role based access control
