Huntington National Bank Project Assurance Audit Group Manager in Columbus, Ohio
The Project Assurance Audit Group Manager will be responsible for auditing and assessing high priority projects a/or strategic programs across various segments of the bank. As part of the Internal Audit Project Management team this resource will oversee multiple projects with limited supervision, interface with all areas affected by the project including project/business stakeholders, vendors, and system support teams. Work with program/project stakeholders and program/project team members to ensure projects are documented, prioritized and executed to address program/project requirements. Oversee the Audit Project Management team members to ensure Internal Audit practices and guidelines are being followed when performing project monitoring and evaluations.
Provide leadership in managing team members overseeing multiple and/or large scale high-risk projects.
Manages the day-to-day operational elements of assigned project monitoring including:
Assessing project objectives, scope, quality, schedule, resourcing, vendor management, dependencies, risks, status reporting, and stakeholder engagements
Assessing the PMO's documentation of testing and defects
Identifying gaps and potential risks related to the project
Works with business segment manager(s) and program/project sponsors to understand and evaluate the project scope, requirements, and deliverables to ensure risks are appropriately considered and mitigated throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare audit plan and coordinate audit activities.
Supervise daily activities of Project Audit Team members to verify adequate project monitoring, timely completion of audit reviews, and adherence to Internal Audit standards.
7 or more years of IT Project Management experience or experience in an Internal Audit/Risk Management position with IT Project Management functions.
Proficient in project management processes and standards and/or experience in project quality assurance.
Experience with Internal Audit methodologies and/or Risk Management.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or related discipline.
High degree of professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT-related concepts effectively.
Professional certification (PMP, CISA, etc.) or progress toward certification preferred.
