Treasury Funding Manager (Grade 74)
As a Funding Manager within the Treasury Group, you will be responsible for the funding activity of The Huntington National Bank. You will lead a team of analysts responsible for managing the intraday cash flows, daylight overdrafts, and reserve requirements of the organization and negotiating short-term wholesale funding to ensure the corporation and its subsidiaries have adequate current and future liquidity. You will analyze balance sheet trends and forecasts and be responsible for projecting liquidity needs over short-term and longer-term planning horizons. You will direct the funding strategy of the bank and maintain accurate, relevant, and timely funding measurement and reporting systems. You will interact with regulatory capital markets examiners and ensure the Bank's funding programs and practices are appropriate. You will report to the Director of Liquidity and Capital and assist with managing the corporation's liquidity policy and contingency funding plan.
Manages a team of analysts responsible for all aspects of the bank's daily funding profile and wholesale borrowing lines of credit.
Independently develops accurate, relevant, and timely funding measurement and reporting systems including cash flow liquidity.
Leads the analysis and reporting of wholesale liquidity and compliance reporting to the bank and corporate boards, as well as the asset and liability committee.
Contributes extensively to the continuous development of company's liquidity policy and contingency funding plan.
Serves as the primary contact for the bank's wholesale funding lines of credit. Coordinates the review of the company's collateral to ensure maximum secured borrowing availability.
Monitors holding company liquidity and recommends funding strategy, including holding company debt issuances, to ensure the company operates within its risk appetite.
Manages the short-term funding forecasting process and escalates new and emerging risks as needed.
7 or more years of wholesale funding and funding operations experience that includes liquidity risk management.
Funding and/or liquidity risk management experience in financial services strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting and the regulatory framework for liquidity.
Bachelor's degree preference: Economics, Finance or Accounting.
Master's degree in Economics or Finance preferred.
CFA designation preferred.
Excellent communication skills and an ability to present findings on complex issues clearly to internal clients including management, both written and verbally.
Ability to mentor and develop newer colleagues.
Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to work independently.
Proven ability to work with finance, and business segments.
Detailed oriented with strong analytical skills with proven ability to process large datasets into meaningful information.
Intrinsic ability to look at data/results and identify patterns, problems, or analysis opportunities.
Analytic reasoning capabilities and/or business intelligence experience.
